英国伦敦大学学院招收细胞生物学博士后
Full Time The appointment will be on UCL Grade 7. The salary range will be £32,928 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
Applications are invited for the post of a postdoctoral research associate in the Department of Cell Biology. She/he will join collaborative research groups headed by Karl Matter, Maria Balda, and Shin-ichi Ohnuma that are specialised in the analysis of the signalling mechanisms that guide epithelial cell behaviour and differentiation in vitro and in vivo, and during early vertebrate development.
The successful applicant will focus on the analysis of tight junction-associated signalling mechanisms and how they are regulated by junctional membrane proteins. The aim of the project will be to identify molecular and cellular mechanisms by which specific junctional membrane proteins regulate epithelial cell proliferation, migration and survival in vitro and during early development (PNAS 109, 10897-10902, 2012; Nat. Cell Biol 13, 150-166, 2011; TCB 20, 142-149, 2010).
The position is funded by the BBSRC for a period of three years in the first instance.
This position requires a PhD in Cell/Molecular/ Developmental Biology, Biochemistry, or another related discipline. The person appointed will have experience in developmental biology and molecular cell biology (expression analysis at protein and mRNA level, quantitative biochemical and cell-based assays, fluorescence microscopy, analysis of early development). The project also requires basic tissue culture techniques.
Informal enquiries about the post may be made to Karl Matter (email: k.matter@ucl.ac.uk). For the job description or to make enquiries regarding the application process please email: hr.ioo@ucl.ac.uk.
