Job Description
| A postdoctoral associate position in microbial pathogenesis is available at the Division of Epidemiology of Microbial Diseases, Yale School of Public Health, for a one or two year appointment, with the possibility of renewal. Successful candidates will join the research group of Professor Albert I. Ko and develop projects to study the pathogenesis of leptospirosis and identify virulence factors which influence the natural history of this zoonotic disease. The position also provides the opportunity to develop research which translates knowledge gained on leptospiral pathogenesis to developing interventions for this health problem of resource-poor settings through NIAID-supported field research in Brazil. Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in biology, microbiology, or a related field. Those with expertise in molecular biology and bioinformatics are strongly encouraged.
