Human genetics postdoc position in Bergen, Norway
The postdoctoral fellow will participate in a long-term interdisciplinary study to explore the biology of psychiatric disorders, including ADHD, using a combination of clinical characterization, neuropsychology, brain imaging, molecular genetics, bioinformatics and basic molecular neuroscience. The candidate will join a prolific international team with expertise in human genetics and neuropsychiatric research. The term of employment is 3 years.
The successful applicant must hold a Ph.D. in molecular genetics, or a related discipline, or have submitted her/his thesis by the application deadline. The thesis must be approved prior to hiring. The candidate must have a strong background in bioinformatics, molecular biology or genetics. Documented ability to independently develop, lead and perform research of internationally competitive standards is a particular merit. The candidate should be able to work independently and interactively in a team setting. The candidate should be proficient in spoken and written English.
