The Colorectal Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is seeking candidates for a translational research position in colorectal cancer. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated individual with strong academic training in molecular genetics, cancer cell biology, animal modeling, and translational research. Applicants must have more than 3 years of postdoctoral research experience and show evidence of high-level productivity, including grant writing and peer-reviewed publications. Expertise in bioinformatics is preferable. The primary area of research is the search for biomarkers in rectal cancer. We are specifically interested in identifying predictors of response to neoadjuvant therapy, biomarkers in blood to monitor tumor response, and prognostic markers in general.
