Research Description

A post-doctoral position is available for a skilled computational biologist with experience developing analysis and database integration solutions for orthogonal systems-level datasets, including high throughput genomics, proteomics, and microarray/NGS. Knowledge of bioinformatics is required, particularly hands on experience in the area of statistics, protein network analysis, pathway enrichment analysis, gene expression clustering are important. The candidate will develop novel methods, extend, adapt and improve existing methods.

Requirements

This position requires a Ph.D. with the knowledge and skills normally acquired through completion of a Ph.D. in bioinformatics, statistics, computer science, computational biology, or engineering. Programming skills in R/Perl on a UNIX platform and knowledge of machine learning approaches is preferred. Rapid prototyping experience is essential.
