美国德州大学阿灵顿分校分子微生物学博士后职位
job description
A postdoctoral position in anti-infective microbiology is available in the laboratory of Dr. Julian Hurdle, in the Department of Biology, University of Texas Arlington. The successful candidate will use molecular approaches to characterize enzymes as antibacterial targets; their effects on cell physiology and virulence; and elucidate the mode of action of new antimicrobials. The Hurdle lab is focused on understanding the bacterial response, molecular action and resistance to antibiotics; characterization of antibiotic protein targets; and inter-disciplinary discovery of new antimicrobials. Pathogens studied include MRSA and C. difficile. Candidates should have a PhD in a biological science, preferably microbiology or molecular/cellular biology. Applicants with experience in gene expression techniques, molecular cloning, bacterial genetics; biological chemistry; and bioinformatics are encouraged to apply. Highly motivated applicants with an interest in anti-infective microbiology should send a cover letter, CV and the contact information of three referees to Dr. Hurdle at hurdle@uta.
UT Arlington is part of the University of Texas System and is located in the heart of the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.
