job description
A position for a highly qualified postdoctoral fellow is avialble at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria. Within the framework of a collaborative special research program on “transmembrane transporters”, the focus of the projects is on understanding the role of neurotransmitter transporters in mouse models of psychiatric disorders, in particular depression, with emphasis on understanding the molecular mechanisms involved. Requirements: Candidates (m/f) must have a PhD or MD/PhD degree in neuroscience or a related discipline with excellent track-record and a strong experimental background in molecular biology, cell biology and biochemistry. Experience in working with rodents and/or in performing behavioral analysis is preferred but not essential.
