A CIHR-THRUST-funded Postdoctoral position (up to two years) is available to study the metal involvement and the immunopathological mechanisms of lesions in Multiple Sclerosis, as well as Neuromyelitis Optica and other inflammatory demyelinating diseases. Our experimental approach involves detailed pathological analyses of human biopsy and autopsy material, and relies heavily on immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, light microscopy and synchrotron techniques. Applicants must 1) have an M.D. and/or Ph.D; 2) a keen interest in clinical-pathological correlative research; 3) experience in neuroanatomy and histology and/or synchrotron sciences. Creative and highly motivated applicants are strongly encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have a background in clinical and/or experimental pathology.
