瑞典查尔姆斯理工大学应用物理博士后职位
job description
The Department of Applied Physics at Chalmers University of Technology invites applications for a POST DOC research position beginning spring/summer 2012. We are looking for a creative and highly motivated scientist with proven previous experience with electron-beam lithography-based micro/nanofabrication and a general background in working in clean room environment. Strong interest and/or previous experience in the fields of nanooptics and nanoplasmonics is a merit.
This post doc position concerns the development, nanofabrication and characterization of optically transparent nanofluidic platforms tailored for in situ single particle nanoplasmonic dark-field scattering spectroscopy and is to be used in two vastly different research fields, namely single molecule biophysics and nanomaterials science/catalysis. The multidisciplinary project is shared between the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering and the Department of Applied Physics where the project is formally hosted.
At Applied Physics/Chemical Physics (C. Langhammer) we focus on fabrication, characterization and exploitation of plasmonic nanostructures that act as optical antennas for innovative sensing applications in the fields of surface science, nanomaterials science and catalysis.
At Chemical and Biological Engineering/Chemistry and Bioscience (F. Westerlund) we use nanofluidic tools to study biomolecules in general and DNA in particular. We use the tools in genomic applications as well as for understanding interactions between DNA and proteins or ligands. We are also interested in developing novel methodologies based on nanofluidics.
Chalmers is a highly progressive technical university situated in the city of Gothenburg, at the Swedish West Coast. From this beautiful and dynamic part of Sweden Chalmers has become known locally and globally for excellent education, research and innovation. Chalmers is located in the city center and within very close reach of the beautiful Swedish nature and the sea.
The candidate should submit a curriculum vitae including personal references and a complete publication list in Word or PDF format by email to:
