The University of Bristol Microvascular Research Laboratories and Laboratory of Vascular Pathology and Regeneration (LVPP) are seeking a postdoctoral research assistant/associate to investigate the role of VEGF in physiological revascularisation.

This BHF funded project will investigate specific components of vascular remodelling in in-vivo models, development of functional vasculature with mature capillaries and arterioles, and spatiotemporal control of VEGF in arteriolargenesis and revascularisation after ischemia.

You will be expected to have a PhD in physiology (preferably cardiovascular) or related area and experience of in-vivo cardiovascular biology, muscle physiology or models of gene therapy. For details see www.mvrl.org

If successful, you may be appointed either on a fixed-term or an open-ended contract depending on the extent of your previous relevant research experience. Three years' appropriate and relevant experience at another higher education institution would normally lead to an appointment on an open-ended contract.
