A postdoctoral position is available to work in cancer therapeutics with a focus on pancreatic, brain or ovarian cancer. The strategy uses light-activated therapies with image and mechanism-guided treatments being the main themes of ongoing studies. Candidates with background in cell biological techniques, an understanding of oncogenic pathways and animal models of cancer are desirable. The position is in the laboratory of Dr. Tayyaba Hasan at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. This opportunity will support career growth and will encompass learning a large number of biological and optical techniques, participation in group seminars, and grant writing. Candidates must be energetic, self-motivated, and capable of multitasking.
