Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for fixed-term Postdoctoral Researcher contract positions in the laboratory of Dr. Adrienne Gorman, Prof Afshin Samali and Dr. Eva Szegezdi in the Apoptosis Research Centre, National University of Ireland Galway.

Position 1: Principal investigator: Dr. Adrienne Gorman
This Science Foundation Ireland-funded project is a Technology Innovation Development Award and will establish a host cell engineering approach to increase product titer in a mammalian cell expression system. Experience in recombinant protein expression and protein purification is desirable. Duration: 1 year

Position 2: Principal investigator: Prof. Afshin Samali
This post-doctoral position will investigate Heat shock protein regulation of ER stress-induced cell death. Duration: 1 year

Position 3: Principal investigator: Dr. Eva Szegezdi
The project for this post is funded by Science Foundation Ireland and establishes novel ratiometric analysis of the proteome to better understand tumour cell behaviour and response to anti-cancer treatments. The project requires experience in protein analysis by mass spectrometry and skills in bioinformatics (involving usage of software packages: standard Agilent acquisition software, Global Proteome Machine, Peaks, Skyline, Mascot or similar). Duration: 2 years

Essential skills:
Candidates must possess a PhD in molecular/cell biology. Candidates must be highly motivated and have demonstrable experience in cell and molecular biology. Candidates should have had their research published in the international peer-reviewed literature. Student project supervision is desirable.

Salary: €34,457– €48,583 (Public sector pay policy pertaining to new entrants will apply)
