The laboratory of Dr. Louis-Eric Trudeau, located at the department of pharmacology of the University of Montreal, in Canada, is presently looking for a postdoctoral fellow to work on a project evaluating the function of dopamine-releasing axon terminals in mouse Parkinson’s disease models. The projet will involve working with striatal brain slices and the cyclic voltammetry technique. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in electrophysiology and/or electrochemistry (cyclic voltammetry) using brain slices and be an author on peer-reviewed publications. Previous experience with the dopamine system would be a plus, although not required. Expertise in various cell biological, biochemical and molecular techniques would also be a plus. The position could start as early as February first 2012, but no later than April first 2012. The salary will be commensurate with experience.
