Immunity to retroviral infection

We are offering a 3-year postdoctoral position to work on the interplay between host genetic factors and resistance to retroviral infection. The work will involve immunology, retrovirology and mouse models. Candidates should have a strong background in T cell immunology or virology and have gained a PhD in a relevant subject. Previous experience in the use and analysis of mouse models for viral infection would be an advantage. We are particularly looking for candidates with proven knowledge of immunology of viral infection who wish to work on a mouse model for retroviral infection.

This is a 3-year MRC-funded Career Development Fellowship (CDF) which is a training and development position for junior post-doctoral scientists. The positions would be based in the laboratory of George Kassiotis in the Division of Immunoregulation at the MRC National Institute for Medical Research, London.

Situated in Mill Hill, North West London, the National Institute for Medical Research is the largest MRC institute, supporting some 70 research groups and 500 bench scientists. Salary range is from £27,513 – £33,249 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. MRC final salary Pension Scheme is available.
