美国佛罗里达Scripps研究所病原学博士后职位
job description
Research description:
The Laboratory of Dr. Susana Valente in the Department of Infectology at the Scripps Research Institute –Florida, in Jupiter is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher to conduct research in HIV biology.
Our major focus is the discovery and characterization of molecular interactions occurring within a host-cell that are critical for HIV replication – the interactions so identified can be potentially targeted to develop novel therapeutic approaches. We have three main scientific interests: Inhibitors of Tat-activated HIV-1 transcription; HIV-1 mRNA maturation and export; discovery of new host factors that inhibit viral replication.
Based on the project strategy, studies will incorporate cellular and molecular virology, cell biology, biochemistry, and small molecule screening.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess a Ph.D (or MD/PhD) in virology, molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or immunology, with several international publications. A minimum of three years experience with RNA biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, fluorescence microscopy, and/or protein purification is required. The successful candidate will be expected to work in the BSL3 facility.
