Postdoctoral position at Microsoft Research New England in Cambridge, MA, to work on a joint project with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Torino, Italy.
This position represents an exceptional opportunity to develop new algorithms for analysing biological data and to apply these algorithms to develop new therapeutic insights. Deep expertise in computational biology, an excellent publication record and a PhD in a relevant field are required. The position is for a one year with the expectation that it may be extended. It is based in Cambridge, MA, at Microsoft Research New England. The applicant will work with a highly collaborative team consisting of research groups in the laboratory of Ernest Fraenkel at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which is located two blocks from Microsoft, and the laboratory of Riccardo Zecchina at the University of Torino, Italy.
Research will focus on methods for integrating diverse data such as genomic, proteomic, genetic, epigenetic, molecular profiling and patient data from clinical studies and laboratory models of diseases. The applicant will be expected to work closely with experimentalists in an iterative cycle of model building and hypothesis testing.
