The newly founded Institute of Molecular Biology gGmbH (IMB) is a Centre of Excellence for Life Sciences, funded by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation, and located in Mainz, Germany.
Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral Research Fellows to work in the laboratory of IMB’s Scientific and Executive Director Prof. Christof Niehrs (www.imb-mainz.de/en/research-at-imb/niehrs/research/). The project addresses the mechanism of reprogramming, a process which involves epigenetic resetting, including DNA demethylation of pluripotency genes. Candidates will analyze the role of genes involved in DNA demethylation in mouse mutants using state of the art techniques.
You will
• Have a PhD and background in mouse genetics, mouse phenotyping, and colony management
• Experience in epigenetics is desirable but not essential
• Have at least one first author paper in an international peer reviewed journal
• Have good written and spoken English
