法国国立高等光学学院博士后招聘
job description
Institut d’Optique is a Centre located in the Paris area, which peforms research, education and technological transfer activities in Optics, Atomic Physics and Quantum Information, at the highest international level. We offer a PostDoctoral position to a well qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist in the field of Ultracold Quantum Gases. The successful applicants will be working in the Quantum Atomic Gases group on the experimental apparatus lead by Dr. David Clément and Dr. Christoph Westbrook.
The project aims at studying many-body quantum states in optical lattices through a direct and extensive measurement of atom-atom correlation functions in momentum space. Based on the special properties of metastable He atoms, the apparatus will allow the innovative characterisation
of three-dimensional correlation functions in momentum space using a detector sensitive at the single-atom level. To do so, a dedicated and versatile experimental apparatus for metastable He atoms is currently being built. The recruited researcher will participate to completing the building of
the apparatus and she/he will pursue with experimental measurements. The project lies at the forefront of modern research in both Ultracold Atoms and Condensed-Matter Physics and includes close collaboration with theory groups in the Paris area.
