Two postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Ming Zhan at the Methodist Hospital Research Institute, a medical center affiliated to Weill Cornell Medical College. The positions will focus on developing synthetic biology approaches for diagnosis and targeted treatment of diseases, particular caner and neurodegenerative disease. The researchers will be integrated into the vibrant research team for systems medicine and bioengineering studies at the Institute. The successful candidates should have Ph.D. in molecular, cell biology, genetics, microbiology or other biological sciences. Sufficient experience in recombinant DNA techniques, cell culture, and genetic manipulation of gene regulatory pathways or metabolic network is essential. Experience in cancer or neurodegenerative disease research is a plus. Background in computational biology or bioinformatics is desirable but not essential. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.
