Position in eye research, neuroscience research and drug development involving cellular biochemistry, optical imaging of intracellular ion concentrations, and microscopy. Salary is commensurate with experience. Ph.D. in a biological science field is required.
This is a full-time, highly independent position for someone with a solid experience in electrophysiology, molecular biology and in microscopy techniques as well as with a strong interest in molecular, cell and/or neurobiology. He or she will be responsible for conducting electrophysiology experiments as part of a number of different ongoing research projects. This involves preparing biological and other specimens for imaging electrophysiology and to acquire, analyze and publish related data. This position will assist in maintaining the electrophysiology equipment, order routine supplies, and archive data. Ph.D. degree in a biological science and at least 2 years experience in electrophysiology, molecular biology and in microscopy techniques are required.

The laboratory is part of the UMKC SOM and the newly established Vision Research Center.
